The Crows in Kingdom Story
One day, Emperor Akbar and Birbal were walking in the gardens of the palace. It was a fine summer morning and many crows were playing happily around the pond. A question came to Akbar’s mind as soon as he saw the crows. He wondered how many crows there were in his kingdom.
Since Birbal was with him, he asked Birbal this question. After thinking for a while, Birbal replied, “There are ninety-five thousand four hundred and sixty-eight crows in the country.”
Surprised by his quick answer, Akbar tried to re-examine him, “If you have answered, are there more crows?” Without hesitation, Birbal replied, “If more than my answer. There are crows, so some crows are coming from other neighboring states”. “And if there are less crows, what will happen?” asked Akbar. “Then some crows of our kingdom have gone to other places to celebrate holidays”.
Moral: If you think simply, there is always a way.
